Do you want to play the guitar but are not sure where to begin? Guitar For Beginners takes you through each step from which guitar to buy to basic chords to more advancing fingerpicking techniques. Whether you want to play acoustic guitar or electric guitar, Guitar For Beginners teaches you the chords, the strumming, the finger techniques and the rhythms that you will need.

With clear diagrams, instructions and notation, a large variety of musical styles is covered, ranging from basic rock chords to classical fingerpicking techniques. At each stage the reader is encouraged to learn to play a song, using the knowledge and skills learnt so far. Guitar heroes such as Jake Bugg, Ed Sheeran, John Mayer and Jimi Hendrix appear in special feature spreads.

Written by a professional guitarist, Guitar For Beginners is illustrated with colour photographs, chord shapes and finger positioning. Building from the simplest stages, this is the ideal book for the first-time guitar player.
