This comprehensive volume offers an overview of the evolution, design and technology of the motorcycle. Organised by manufacturer name, it provides an overview of every motorbike maker, ranging from the earliest prototypes to today’s superbikes. Here the reader will find manufacturing history, specifications and performance profiles for more than 2000 models of motorcycle. If you want to find information about BMW, BSA, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Husqvarna, Indian, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi, Triumph or Yamaha – it is all in The Encyclopedia of Motorcycles.

The main body of the book lists the world’s motorcycle manufacturers, outlining the company history, key dates, launches and competition successes. This is followed by profiles of the company’s most important models; the entries include detailed text on development and technical features as well as specification tables, and are accompanied by superb colour and black-and-white photographs and illustrations. Minor and defunct makes are listed in side panels throughout the book, making this volume a complete reference to motorcycles.
