Biplanes, Triplanes and Seaplanes contains 300 of the most influential multi-wing aircraft from the dawn of aviation until their gradual replacement by monoplanes. The book also includes the development of seaplanes until their eclipse by carrier-borne aircraft at the end of World War II. Types used in the major wars of the 20th century such as the Sopwith Camel, the Red Baron’s Fokker Triplane and Consolidated Catalina are listed. Popular and famous examples of civil aircraft of the inter-war years such as the Tiger Moth and Supermarine S.5 are also included.

Each aircraft is illustrated by a full colour profile artwork, showing the markings on each model. Accompanying text puts the aircraft’s development, production and service history into context. There is also a specifications table for each aircraft detailing dimensions, performance, weights, powerplant and armament.

Presented in a handy, pocket-book size, Biplanes, Triplanes and Seaplanes is a colourful and authoritative guide to the beautiful aircraft of the first decades of aviation.
