Panzer is a pictorial record of Germany's armoured forces before and during World War II, including the early days of the panzer tank in 1935, through to the spectacular success of the Blitzkrieg tactics of 1939-41, when Germany's tanks swept all before them. The panzer arm was first blooded in the Spanish Civil War, and the book includes rarely seen archive material of panzer units supporting the Nationalist forces in that conflict. The book also includes a pictorial record of the invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941, of the battle of Kursk in 1943, and the Ardennes offensive in the winter of 1944-45.
