The AK-47 is a detailed examination of the most famous assault rifle ever produced. Its virtues of simplicity, reliability and cheapness, plus its good short-range performance, meant the AK-47 became the most widely distributed and most-manufactured rifle in history. The AK-47 examines the design and development of this great weapon and all the variants of the weapon since its introduction in 1947.
