Submarines & Deep-Sea Vehicles

The submarine has revolutionized marine warfare. Submarines have progressed from the crude steam-driven vehicles of the American Civil War to the latter-day silent nuclear submarines that can cruise for months underwater without surfacing. This book traces the history of these vehicles and offers a complete guide to submersible craft.
